This video is the bike-focused companion ride for Episode 1 of my IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais Portugal 2026 training series.

It follows the same route from Oeiras Valley into Lisbon, filmed as a steady, uninterrupted ride that works well for indoor cycling trainers or relaxed endurance sessions.

I’m training without a car, so my routes are built around Portugal’s train network. This makes it easy to start and finish rides at different stations and avoid circular routes — something that’s especially useful when training consistently for a long-distance triathlon.

This ride pairs with Episode 1, where I bike, run, and swim along this same route and talk more about the locations, history, and training context. If you’re following the series, think of this video as the pure cycling version of that day.

The goal here isn’t speed or intensity — it’s learning the terrain, staying consistent, and getting in quality time on the bike while training for IRONMAN 70.3 Cascais Portugal 2026.
