Either let him grab the crust, or replace the pizza obstacle entirely. That is the stupidest rule I've ever heard. 🤦😑

The way you present is top notch I did not expect it to be this good.
These pizza obstacles were killers in the finale, especially the second pizza. Almost nobody made it past the second one (which you can attempt see the corner of in the top right of the screen as he's falling). And basically every person that fell, fell because they were poorly designed. You had to throw yourself upwards while spinning the pizza, then have enough hang time to then catch the ledge on the now bottom in a backwards grip, but there was a long list of places and ways they weren't supposed to hold it. It's a miracle anyone made it through both pizza slices at all. I'm not opposed to hard obstacles, but there's a difference between a very difficult obstacle, and one that nobody can make it through, because every way that feels natural to grab it by isn't allowed. I hope they don't bring them back next season, or, if they do, it's with some significant design changes.

I bet if the producer did it. He would naturally grab the crust too. Just sayin…
