Hi there, I just picked up a Univega Super Ten from someone in my area to turn into my everyday commuter. It’s my first serious project bike and I’m really hyped to work on it, so I wanted to figure out what year it was made. However, the serial number doesn’t match the conventions I’ve found online for old Univegas. Any ideas? It looks similar to models from the 80s but it’s hard to tell.
Serial number looks to be 1031C553. I think. I included a side picture in case that helps more than the number. I’ve been going through old catalogs but I don’t know that I’ve found the right year yet.
