My route today takes me along the old railway line from Stafford to Newport, Shropshire. The line originally opened in 1849 and continued onto the market town of Wellington in Shropshire. The section of line I cycle closed in 1966and from Newport to Donnington closed in 1969.
This final part takes me from Beffcote to the end of the greenway at Newport.
