I had a lightweight 2 person tent, so I bought an extra set of poles, cut them to the size to fit between drop bars.
Total weight of the tent & poles 1.36kg.
Mean for occasional overnight not full blown backpacking?
That’s pretty cool that you sort of made a tent and even cooler that you can traverse with it

Cool.
That looks good enough. Maybe make yourself a framebag next, have somewhere to put the pegs and clothes.

My tent is 2.18kg but it’s a 3 man with a separate inner and outer… this looks like condensation hell, and no porch to keep bags dry (unless you’re camping solo so have space in the tent).
Equally having had a tent pole break in the middle of the night as a kid, and having struggled to sleep through 20+ mph winds as a tent shock violently on other occasions… this isn’t a risk I’d be up for.
But if it suits you, well done for the ingenuity.

I did something similar, purchased alu poles and my fresh&black tent got a lot lighter. The pegs make me anxious though. Carbon tubes cut at an angle make for very lightweight pegs, but keep one normal peg to push dirt out.
