Hahaha these tires are so fast! I wanted a fast set of tires for my second wheelset, for those rides that are 80/20 pavement/gravel. This is especially for the longer rides if I won't encounter rough single track, mud, or other terrain. So far they are wicked fast on pavement, work just fine on the smooth stuff, and didn't feel too sketchy rolling over some rocks and roots.

I know.
Going (steep) downhill on loose gravel can be challenging though.
STRs? I had a string of bad luck as my set didn’t even last a season on pavement – they were really puncture prone, definitely fun while they lasted.
Which size did you choose?
I run 5k 32mm on my road set and they ride fine on gravel like any other tyres except sand. Also sidewalls do get cuts way more than dedicated gravel tyre so I am not sure how long they are going to last (they get deep into ground sometimes) and loose stuff sucks out the energy way more than out of wide tyres which just roll on top. So yeah while I have no issues riding 80/20 as you do, honeymoon will be over soon.
my *gravel* is exclusively picture 1 with nearly 0 elevation. Been rocking gp5k on it for years and it’s honestly a blast and have never had any issues. Currently on the GP5000 AS TR 35s and I have to say they are just *chefs kiss* in terms of speed and comfort mix.
This was super timely, I literally JUST installed a pair of gp5k all season 35s on my bike and am excited and slightly nervous to try them out. Been ages since I’ve ridden slicks.
What do you have 2 GPS mounts for?
Get those road tires off your gravel bike before u hurt yourself
Can’t see a gravel bike.
