The Spine Mini is a classic FISE event that is guaranteed high energy and to bring in the largest crowd, and this year was no different.

  1. BMX has changed, a lot, and it sucks for the most part.
    90% of the riding in this is all the same, whip, bar, spinnerroony and repeat.
    I see they’ve added cheater landing sections now too (big mellow sections to land easier on).
    Too many tailwhips, too many barspins, virtually no guys with pegs and very minimal tech miniramp riding anymore, it’s just a park comp on a big converted miniramp.

    There a few stand outs in there but that’s it.
    Long gone are the days of proper miniramp riding from guys like Mark Webb, Dean Cueson, Konstantin Andreev, Alex Coleborn, etc etc

  2. The Spine event had riders with so many different styles. It was one of the highlights of the year, with an awesome lineup of names from all over the world. Over the last few years, however, it has become less and less interesting.
