Charlie takes on Loïc Bruni in another episode of Average Joe vs Pro — this time on a proper World Cup downhill track in Andorra.

From massive gaps to brutal rock gardens, the side-by-side comparison quickly shows that pro-level speed has way more to do with commitment than fitness alone. Loïc barely touches the brakes, skips entire rough sections, and carries speed through lines that most riders simply won’t hit.

Can Charlie survive long enough to avoid getting caught by one of the fastest downhill riders on the planet?

  1. Naw mate you've got to let them pedal. It's part of keeping the top speed so high that their skill makes more of a difference. Same reason you're now on a WC track, you've got to race it their way, not yours. Still cheers for the effort! Very fun vids to watch

  2. Now we're talking Charlie, 100% this IS where you really see the difference between a Pro and even a very good amateur rider. Side note, don't know WTF they ever stopped using this track, it's sick AF, they could have done some re-routes or something, instead of building the new super speedway, dangerous AF one.

  3. Look, let's be real. The difference in equipment and setup is a major contributor. Talent is the next.. When I raced DH in the early 2k's, I had a one in a lifetime chance for Specialized to help setup my FSR BIGHIT at a Norba DH race at Snoqualmie, WA. I actually ran 2 seconds faster even with a flat tire with 90% of the track left.

  4. I've also watched Loic for years, and the man is an utter monster! He only has 1 riding mode, beast mode. Fair play Charlie for even attempting it!

  5. You need to know more about Loic, how he can ride so fast, along the years : Here in France, 30 years ago, loic father, was one the top rider here, jean-pierre. JPB was very close friend to François Dola, and they ride togheter all time, very high skilled riders. So…who was François? François "La Dole" in French, was the fastest french rider on "coupe de france dh" series just before nico starting his first one "real season" ( 92) and the strongest guy on megavalanches, just before Wildhaber era. From deep France. 👌
