  1. Solid bike, great price. Looks newer than ’17, they took a long time to go to disc brakes. Same money new gets you a much shittier bike. If this one is a good fit don’t hesitate.

    Ridiculous.

I wouldn’t pay that much for a used bike, there are too many mechanical components which can go wrong and are expensive to fix, except if you have all the tools and experience.

A used bike should be significantly cheaper than brand new

Surprised people are saying this isn’t a good value because there’s not exactly a large used market for cromo frames with disc brakes. I think this would be a great city commuter, especially if you throw some fenders on it. Maybe see if you can talk them down to $400 but depending on your market I don’t think $500 is a ripoff. That Brooks saddle alone is worth $100.

Has a nice set of silver cable actuated disc brakes that will work well and be easy to maintain. Rack eyelet on the fork is also really helpful if you want to tour. Brooks saddle looks new. I think this is a decent deal actually. I would see if they would go as low as 350 and then inch up but would easily go for 400 on this. Nothing wrong with tiagra groupo either, not sure what the hate in the comments is all about.

Would try and talk them down a bit, but I would 100% ride this bike. Could be a great round towner/commuter/touring bike. B-17 thats in great shape, mechanical disc brakes, steel frame, and good enough gearing. Pedals might not be the best but very normal to swap contact points on a new to you bike. If youre looking for a triathlon bike this isnt it but otherwise I would hit them up!

I mean the tiagra is an awesome entry-level enthusiast groupset with disc brakes. I feel like any modern bike with that is going to be $1200-1900.

  7. 300 if you really want it. I’ve got a new price comparable Marin disc commuter bike like this I paid 150 for. I don’t think they are worth a whole lot by nature.
