Found myself moving back from Australia to the UK last year in July, and after no planning whatsoever, muddled together a setup and stopped off in Vietnam for a month of exploring on the way back.

Probably ended up being the worst time of year for it with a mix of 98% humidity, 40+ degree days and 1 or 2 typhoons but was so so worth it and would definitely recommend (but maybe when it's a bit cooler!)

Ended up doing ~20 days of riding, staying in nhà nghỉs, which are pretty much everywhere no matter how remote. Easily the friendliest and kindest people, too many to count instances of drinking for hours with locals with a healthy dose of Google translate, getting offered their kids for marriage and riding the final 40k of the day piss drunk. Best food ever, especially for cycling – could find places everywhere even it did mean scanning down some dog every now and then (surprisingly good mind)

I’m sitting at work, with a little free time, browsing Reddit bikepacking. The radio is playing in the background and I come across your video – and at that exact moment The Beatles starts playing “Here Comes the Sun”. You can’t imagine how perfectly that song matched your video.
