    That’s standard rim tape. Remove it and install tubeless tape to go tubeless. I would also guess that the rim isn’t certified for tubeless, but there is a good chance it will work none the less.

    I think every new rim is tubeless ready, unless on very cheap or childrens’ bikes. Looking at that one – it is, just needs tubeless tape.

  3. I was also insure. I called my Cube Store and they said this is already Tubeless Tape. It is working since 500KM Tubeless without any trouble for me.

    Tubeless goes with an adhesive tape that is not porous. That looks like a butyl tape. You can try it even if not tubeless ready with no guaranteed results.

    Yes, that is regular rim strip. You need adhesive tape for tubeless applications. Get a tape that matches the inner section of the rim in millimeters. You’ll need valve stems and sealant, too. Tires will be marked as “TR” or “ tubeless ready” if they are useable.

    Without tubeless rim tape, fitting tubeless ready tyres is an absolute pig.
