  1. Yes if you do the things you’re trained not to do then you’ll get hurt. Same as driving, exercising, or using most household cleaning products. But you are trained not to do those things, and it’s pretty easy not to do them. Kids even learn to scuba dive.

  2. I literally just finished my certification.. It's not that hard when you understand what you're doing and don't dive beyond your limitations.

  3. If you’re careful, then you won’t get hurt, but if you’re not careful and reckless, then you will get hurt. Also try not to get DCS decompression decompression sickness.

  4. Please stop giving partial information every diver knows the risk but we are trained to dive within our limits, that's why we do slow ascents with safety stops and we don't stop breathing.

  5. I went scuba diving when I was very very young I think like 8-10 years old and we went I think 30 or something feet and the instructor took out a tiny cheese block and all the fish that were nearby came swarming lol I’ll never forget it

  6. Not always, over inflation injuries also include expanding gas bubbles forming a clot in your arteries which is known as an arterial gas embolism and it can happen much sooner than a pneumothorax or an emphysema. AGE causes symptoms similar to DCS but severe cases can cause permanent neurological effects and death. Don't hold your breath while diving on compressed air👍
