We’ve got a week of full sun and high temps down here in the southern Schwarzwald region! What better time to get out and enjoy the gravel paradise here?

This ride is specifically around the Schluchsee area, going through Titisee, and ending in Donaueschingen (where the source of the Donau river is). The trails are absolutely pristine, and the scenery is just gorgeous…especially in this weather! It feels like forever ago that I got to see this forest like this! So much gray and wetness during the winter and spring can really make you forget how wonderful it can be!

There’s some pretty challenging climbs around the region, especially the more south you are, but the great thing is that there are so many trails to choose from, that it’s always possible to find something for yourself to enjoy!

  1. Hell yeah Coros Dura. I love mine so much, it does everything a GPS needs to do. Nothing super special about the software but nothing to complain about either. BUT that battery life is truly amazing. I did a 200km, 8 hour ride and it used a net 1% battery thanks to the solar charging.

I find myself so jealous of you right now I don’t think I like you very much. I know it’s ridiculous and petty, but it’s how I feel.

Lovely area to ride in. I do a lot of mountain biking around Todtmoos. In the summer it is just fantastic but autumn and winter are also great.

  4. I wish we had something more comfortable instead of rain OR scorching hot around here.
