Was just donated this from my old shop owner. We had a lady come in and say, “this is my husbands old bike, it’s way too big for me, can I trade it for something on the floor?”

ABSOLUTELY! About 10 years ago, we refreshed this with a few new bits but tried to keep it as original as possible. It’s sat since then (as a window model, then in his garage).

Could use another tune up. I think I gotta keep this original and not throw some modern groupset on it…

  1. Nice bullmoose! I have one on my ride and it’s soooo comfortable to ride with.

Congratulations on snagging a gem of a ride. Hope she gives you many great miles.

  2. I think those look best Old and Classy. Brass or gold accents, Leather saddles, Nissen cables…Dearhead parts…

Plenty of 90s bikes out there to go crazy with restomodding

Those are long pull V-brake levers, you need to get some short pull canti levers for it.

I found a 1984 Stumpy not too long ago, and I bought it with the intention of sprucing it up quite a bit. But after staring at it for a day or two in my garage I realized it would be wrong to mess with it. Your ’82 is the holy grail, congratulations.
