Yes, you’re seeing it correctly… there’s no front zipper at all.
You know, I notice zipperless jerseys in MTB racing of course, but almost never in the WorldTour peloton. In fact, UNO-X are basically the only top road team fully committing to them right now.
All cycling jerseys and suits have zipper at the front, but FUSION the brand they are sponsored by claims the gains of not having it are real.
The whole idea is simple: the zipper is one of the least aerodynamic parts of a jersey. It disrupts airflow right down the center of the body, especially at high speeds. By removing it completely, the front becomes one smooth uninterrupted surface…
For me the crazy part on this is that UNO-X aren’t just experimenting with it in small races… they’ve been winning Grand Tour stages wearing them.
But if it really that good, why UNO-X is the only team using them?

So it’s not even on the rear?
But the box in the chest isn’t an issue?
I can imagine how far your mouth is open would have more of an effect than a zipper
There are already riders that will wear skin suits for stages.
