Simon Yates’ dark and disturbing retirement
Simon Yates has retired from cycling in 2026, never to return. According to Adam Yates’ brother, he retired due to a “lack of motivation.” But few people within cycling seem to believe this.
Simon Yates’ dark, disturbing, and sudden retirement leaves Jonas Vingegaard without his best domestique and David Lappartient, president of the UCI, in a dilemma.
Should he communicate what really happened? Perhaps we will know soon… Tadej Pogacar, Remco Evenepoel in the 2026 Volta Valenciana, and Mathieu van der Poel, who will be watching the 2026 Volta Comunidad Valenciana on TV, will be keeping an eye on Simon Yates’ next moves.

  1. Here's a simple solution. If you know pro and top amateur cycling are dirty then don't follow or support the sport. There are plenty of sponsors that have dropped out of the sport because of this issue. Go out ride your bike and enjoy the outdoors, maybe do a charity ride. It beats sitting in front of the TV watching a boring stage race. 🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲

  2. Uncle you know that the point of the carbon monoxide doping was to increase the size of red blood cells as opposed to increase their count like doping of the past, right? If you didn’t know, well now you do.

  3. This video is a big nothing burger 😅 Could be this, could be that. As strange the situation is, we don't know what's going on behind the scenes.

The guy could be going through a rough patch, and no money will take you out of a bad mental state.

Maybe he will come back for the 2027 season, who knows.

    All the best Simon.

  4. AICAR, GW501516, TP500 and GAS6. Found in team cars.
Cant create a test before a product is used and known so it’s virtually impossible to ever catch people.
Being a nice person has nothing to do whether someone doped or not. Cyclings history tells us that it isn’t clean, never has and never will be. Many team managers have been caught doping. All professional sport is full of people pushing the limits.
Why would any sports team need a doctor? Some have several. What for? You can’t take anything so what use çan they possibly be???????? History shows the role “doctors” have in cycling. Humans get tired. No one is superhuman. History tells us this.

  5. I have no knowledge of whether any or all athletes are doping so I offer no comment. The comments section is the modern equivalent of poison pen letters. I guess people just like slagging off those who are successful at anything. Slagging off anyone really. Nasty, mean and malicious.

  6. You’re just trying to fill your channel with content. With no evidence and only speculation, you have nothing solid to prove. I have ADHD and can lose motivation quickly, no matter the pay at work or how ‘exciting’ the project is.

  7. Maybe, maybe not. Misterious sources (teams, journalists…?) basically saying there is something (?) going on in Androrra (what specifically?). I love this channel and the dry sense of humor, but come on, either there is some proof or this is all talk.

  8. Thank God you mentioned the anchovy. How is that CO training going? Is he going to compete in nothing but 2nd rate races? God knows he couldn't win against Pogs.

  9. When haven't "sources" been around to spread roumours about other teams? What do you think other teams have been saying about Pog? Or the successes of Bahrain a couple of seasons ago and lots of other winners? Yes let the cheats be exposed but unsubstantiated rumourmongering isn't real jounalism is it?

  10. He won the Giro because the top two riders pissed about and refused to chase him, not because any super human effort. If they had chased Yates he would not have won and your assertion that it was some amazing feat would not have rung true. Never mind the facts just feed the prejudice.

  11. Investigate? Nothing but innuendo, rumor, speculation, leaps of – not faith, I guess overall distrust. Maybe someday we will know, maybe it was a mental issue, but other than an abuse sometime ago from the 'bad old days' absolutely NOTHING is brought to light in this. One should always continue to be skeptical, but this is just crap put together for gaining views… sorry that YouTube suggested it to me and that I wasted time watching it, but oh that clickbait title….

  12. 'Of course, I can't say for sure his retirement has anything to do with doping.' – Seems to be the only statement grounded in fact within this video.

  13. It's ALL of the top performers, not a single one of them can claim to be a person of integrity when they lie for money. All the best people NEVER become top performers. Wake UP and stop being so blind and stupid.
