In true x biking fashion, I built up this $50 schwinn crosscut with $600 in parts. I think it turned out pretty sick. These frames are slept on. Double butted full tange cromo made by Giant in the late 80s early 90s right before schwinn went bankrupt. Included a couple before pics at the end

GREAT looking result!
Lugged and I’m chubbed. Seat stays were forged by a blacksmith. Red because it’s faster. I’m just assuming the brake pull ratio is right for the v’s because everything else is right. Party meter and I know your head unit auto uploads to Strava. Respect. Radar? Aye aye. Period correct bar tape, black furniture, and tan side walls are letting that cassette and chain shine. You probably harvested those in-line barrel adjusters from another project. You know who made it and when because you care, not because it matters. Very vell done ja.
Such a good frame!! And a cool build! I have a Criss Cross, and it’s so fun. How is the Varia mounted? I’m intrigued.
Very nice, I have the same bike and model year and absolutely love it. Did a full restomod too and hope to post it here soon. Cheers
Great bike. Horrid title
