This is the reality of studying in Germany. The quality of life is actually pretty good here, but it’s good to keep these things in mind as a student in Germany.

  1. 2:32 oh trust me, in the Czech Republic, delays are inevitable when taking a train. I mean it. I have family on the other side of the country and every time I try to visit them, I get hit with a 30 minute delay at LEAST.

  2. All this is nothing since I come from a third world country we used to do up to four exams per week from 6am to 6pm non stop only in year 8 only barrier is language

  3. 1 to 3 hours late? You could walk across all of Germany in that amount of time. What happened to German efficiency? The new generation got lazy? Why blame the train? Maybe prepare before you plan to travel somewhere.

Most Germans think they speak English? But why don't most of them master it? Rather than only speaking it occasionally.

And who takes a university program and hasn't understood the concept of applying themselves by then? Only an idiot.

Guess the foreigners trying to study in Germany aren't Germans so that explains the lack of German efficiency.

  4. Thats so bad think about how little it cost to get a degree and there are studies thatd all in english just not all
The train system as much you think is garbage its only around -€60.00 and you can go with it everywhere
    ich würde die Klappe halten😂

  5. Can you share some pointers that would help a new girl student at WHU Vallendar Germany? Could be related to life style, living expenses, groceries, partying, etc specifically for Vallendar

  6. I am from Nepal.
    1) Internet (In my village, we don't have a mobile tower).
    2) University(We have university but extremely low ranked and unemployment is extremely high)
    3) Trains(We dont have one in our country)
    So, no ugly side…

  7. Most of even german graduated students cannot find jobs in Germany…That's actual true sad reality of this german system…💩👎

  8. NO PAIN ,NO GAIN ,
if you want to become a top 1-2 %people and,if this is do with another country then you have to will to do it and get such a bagage on yourself , if you can't make yourself at that level then you keep yourself in your comfort zone in your own country or where you live ,
if you want make your next life so comfortable and you want your parents feels proud on you then you will be able to get that kind pressure, study, what you want in your life and what that things wants to become that in reality
this is not applicable only for germany, this valid for everyone or anyone who wants to do something big in herhis life …………😊😎💯🖤

  9. I do not really understand the remark on how “memorizing things” and “standardized learning” reflects on how university should be. It is supposed to be hard. And it gets harder the further you progress in academia. Degrees are not given out for free. They are earned. So yes, university is about a professor or tutor outlining the concept and the expectations to the students that they fill in the gaps by studying themselves and learning about 80% outside lectures. This is not pay for play. If you come to any university – not just in Germany – this is the reality.

  10. Sorry, but the academic demands in Germany are not high. It might be high if you compare it to, let's say, the USA, but this is the same as claiming to be the best-looking guy in the burns unit …

The academic demands in Germany are adequate, nothing more.

  11. I am german and I am currently studying here and I can confirm that all of these are true. The only thing that is personally really getting on my nerves is the trains because I can't afford to move out or get a drivers license/car and I live in a village and have to commute 1 hour and 20 minutes everyday (2 hours and 40 in total) and its a gamble if the train is on time or not. Just this week I wanted to go to a 90 minute lecture and I was 30 minutes late eventhough I already took the earlier train because I didn't want to be late

  12. As a Ukrainian that moved to Germany, the internet part is really frustrating because we ordered a DSL in November 2025 and not its march 2026 and they sent us some shit that only runs 4G and doesn’t even reach my room

  13. University in Germany means: Learn to learn, learn to organise yourself, learn to handle a lot of stuff. The subject is more or less the transport item of this points but it’s more about the way of learning and handle those things especially in an analytic way.

  14. High academic demand is ugly?
Being adult, care about your subject, learning is ugly?
Having to do a bit of paperwork is ugly?
There is hardly fees, there is a lot of free consultation, free coaching – paid by taxpayer money.
So move, put your braincells on duty. You are gifted by allmost free education by other people's work and money. So at least do your own work!

  15. that hammering beat in the background is seriously annoying.

German universities are not 'hard' in comparison to good American universities. The idea of one mark for the semester is not that strange. Germans are spoonfed, in my opinion.

  16. as a german chemistry student i have forgotten thrice to register for the exam but the Prüfungsamt was always very chill. I can confirm though that the workload is insane

  17. ah – aber dann haben sie die Post und die Bahn privatisiert, und nach der Privatisierung haben sie das Schienennetz drastisch gekürzt, und den Betrieb Gewinnmaximiert … wen wundert es dann …

  18. First, I thought you were an American until I heard your German accent. Well, I am originally from Germany. There, I was a mostly C student. When I studied in Canada, where I live now, I became a straight-A student (mostly), despite studying in a language that is not my mother tongue.

  19. I did my first master's degree in the United States and the second one in Germany. Each class was equally difficult, but in Germany the expectation was that we would take 6 classes per semester while in the US we would take 3-4. (My US masters was a 3 year program while the German one was a 2 year program.) The German students knew better so they would only sit 3-4 exams per semester while we foreigners tried to sit 6 our first semester. We learned better after that, but the university was upset we were taking so long to finish our degrees.

  20. India was under the British Rule for 200 yrs, hence English is taught in most schools, so Indians have an edge,in securing jobs in developed countries, USA and UK, australia
