  1. Come down this way a couple times to head to Ealing. Had a suicidal cyclist cross in front of me with their kid in the back seat 😬. Scares me both drivers and peds

  2. It's something I never saw once in very may years, even when I was driving many hours per week.
In the last few years I have started to see it a lot, and I don't even drive/ride much now.

  3. The simple answer would be fitting red light cameras to all traffic lights. How could that possibly be considered inappropriate by anyone other than people that like routinely driving through red lights?? The sole thing keeping a pedestrian safe when they're crossing is the people in the metal killing machines stopping and staying stationary. As it happens I quite like my metal killing machine (IE I'm not anti-car) but it is, ultimately, a device responsible for thousands of deaths every year (well, not my one personally!!!). Let's face it, we all likely know lights at which driver's routinely jump the lights, so how come the powers that be don't and do something about it?

  4. The grace time of up to 1-second is relevant only for automatic red-light cameras. It ensures there can be no daft arguments about 'calibration' of the camera. There is actually no grace time in the law. So If evidence from a camera operated by a member of the public shows the front of the vehicle crossing the white line on a red light, then the police should be prosecuting. Why are they hiding behind this "one second grace" nonsense? It's an excuse which has no merit.

  5. Hi Mikey,
    Nice one! Well caught.
Jumping a red for what? (Apart from £100 poorer and some points) this is happening all too often, they’ll definitely think next time.
    Another one bites the dust.

  6. I have gone through many a red light over the years, but only when I perceived it was too late to "brake safely". Problem with that phrase is that it's highly subjective, some of those occasions I probably could have stopped, but on a few occasions I have stopped I felt I had to brake too violently to stop. I wish we had a double traffic light system, where the first would be a warning that if you don't slow down and stop, you will definitely be going through a red. If that second light has a camera, people would stop. This kinda happens to me where there are two lights together, if first goes red, I'll slow but go through but don't go through the next red that turns up. This person, no excuse, especially with it being a crossing point, potentially putting lives in danger.

  7. The cops hate me because I win every speeding ticket in court. They refuse to show up unless they are paid.
Besides, I just tell the the prosecutor how my attorney wants to sue them and there department. Then I give them his card. Dismissed most of the time.
I learned long ago to always have an attorney on retainer.

  8. So frustrating that when you're in danger of being run over by a red light jumper – i.e. you're on the opposing phase – the police won't prosecute because you're not showing the actual traffic light head the driver ignored.

  9. was that a cycle path or a footpath this cameraperson was riding on? Most cyclists i see in my town prefer footpaths, even the very narrow ones.

  10. This happens almost every time the nearest lights to my home turn red. Recording them and reporting them would just lead to me ending up in an altercation with them for nothing as there's often police at the same lights, at the same time and the useless #&*@s just watch and do nothing.

  11. Excellent work yet again Mikey 👍🏻🚲✊🏻
Another totally avoidable and expensive life choice for someone 😮
    🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤷🏻

  12. Amber does not mean be prepared to stop. Amber means STOP unless unsafe to do so. In this example a white vehicle managed to stop quite correctly. Green means procede with caution and be prepared to stop. Driving in general with no traffic lights nearby always means procede with caution and be prepared to stop. Many idiots think amber means accelerate through the lights. They are idiots and should not be allowed behind a steering wheel, because they always drive with that mentality.

  13. If you are able to catch an offence 1/3 times in such a brief visit; imagine how many you could get in just 30 minutes? Not that I am expecting you to give up that much time. You still have a life away from YT.

  14. In the last few years the standard of driving in the UK has sunk to the level of many third world countries. It infuriates me to see cars stopped outside chicken shops on zig zag crossings.

  15. A former colleague of mine got done for something like 0.24s past red(I feel like it could have been 0.024s because we were all shocked). Around 8 years ago though.
