The Kinetics Rohloff conversion is the best thing I’ve done for my C-line. It was already a great bike, but it’s now perfect for touring – and today got me through 120km with 2000m of elevation, including several +15% grades. Disc brakes came in handy, too.
A little heavier, but really not that noticeable, and the 16” version fits perfectly in the B&W Foldon Box S.

That’s definitely an eye catcher, very nice and an impressive journey.
Ah disc brakes and a rohloff perfect for touring.
What exactly is the Rohlhoff? A new gear set?
Oooh, lots to love about that shot, and those mods.
Has there been anything (positive or negative) that came out of the drivetrain update that you didn’t plan for but is notable?
Lovely bike. Who did the conversion for you?
I have a Kinetics Rohloff Brompton too and done some overseas traveling with it. Next time I pack it for airline travel I plan on taking off the rear wheel and carrying it on. When folded, the Rohloff Brompton has an off-kilter center-of-gravity and if the folded bike (assuming it is bagged, too) gets tossed carelessly by a baggage handler, the bike lands in an awkward manner and something can get bent or broken.
T-Bag? Did 10 days in Europe with that.
