We found this giant TCR bike on the marketplace for 500€ but this seems a bit too good to be true. 50mm non branded carbon wheels and dura ace / ultegra 10speed. The combination of non branded carbon wheels and the dura ace parts makes me doubt the price. Seems too cheap for the bike. What do you guys think?

  1. I feel like half the people on this sub will see rim brakes, 25 mm tires, and external cable routing and say this is hopelessly antiquated and belongs in the trash.

I’d say it’s a good price but not unreasonable.

  2. That’s overpriced for NL market. Those seat posts are a pain in the ass as well. Outdated group set and questionable carbon rims

It’s an old bike and outdated, but I would still say 500 seems fair

Mismatched parts are fine. Just means he swapped stuff out. My current road bike came with all 105 but I’ve slowly put dura Ace.

I wish I could find that for 500 people in ny want 1500 for something crappier

  5. Anyone saying that this is overpriced is legit crazy. It’s very reasonably priced bike, I would say that 750 euro would still be a good price for it

  6. Any chance of jotting down the ID# and see if it’s on any stolen sites/lists where you are?

Maybe you’re the angel that gets someone their stolen bike back.

This group set is a *problem* you guys. Technically, it is only compatible with itself. In the industry, we call this Shimano’s “Fuck you” group. Also, integrated seat mast is a *problem* lol, for seller and buyer.

When I first saw this post before clicking in, I was coming here to say “run”. But, at $500… shit, this is worth it. I’d take that chance. This bike will ride dope if you can keep it on the road.

  8. Doesn’t look sucky. My bike was also suspiciously cheap, but when I showed up it was clearly just a wealthy guy whose wife wanted him to get rid of some of the bikes
