Hi! Im looking to buy the canyon endurance allroad, so i can begin training for triathlons. This will be my first more sporty bike and as you can see, the site suggests both M and L, so Im wondering which size would you recommend for me to pick?

The usual recommendation is to go smaller when you’re in between sizes. It’s always easier to make a bike that is slightly small larger, but you won’t be able to make a bike that is too big smaller.
I would rather be in the middle of M, than on the smaller side of L. You’ll likely feel the stretch. Just my two dollareedoos.
Your measurements are almost identical to mine and I have a M ultimate and it fits perfectly. I heard a phrase once, I don’t know how true it is, you can always make a smaller big bigger but can’t make a bigger bike smaller.
I‘d go with M. As your ratio is longer legs conpared to a shorter torso, L could have a too long reach for you.
I made the mistake with my endurance. I have the same ratio but with 191 cm height and went with XL. Today I know the frame‘s too big for me. L would be a little more compact and agile.
I am 182 with 85 inseam on an M Endurace Allroad. It’s fine but feels just a tad big sometimes, I could’ve probably gone with S and have more exposed seatpost haha.
Personally I would go with M in your situation, gives you a bit more room to add more aerodynamic (longer) handlebars later on or tweak a few things up/down. But both sizes will probably be fine.
I am a similar bodytype, went for the M.
I prefer slightly smaller frames, just makes me feel more agile, and less like on traintracks. And the bike still felt big to me.
I’m 191 cm / 90 cm inseam and ride an L, though sometimes it feels a bit aggressive. I’d go for the M in your case.
welcome to the always in between sizes club. I went with the larger one and slightly shorter stem and its just fine! Doesnt really matter all that much
Canyon only allow for 2cm of spacer on their bikes.
If stack is an issue for you, might go bigger size with shorter handlebar.
But going big would also mean low seatpost exposed and longer bike meaning more stable but less racy.
On the other side of you buy the M and stack is just too low for you, well you would need to train your core and flexibility and maybe you won’t be in discomfort.
I’ll go M if your fit and flexible but L if you want comfort.
184cm and 83inseem, M for me, also shortened the stem to 80mm from 100. fits fine now
I have 184cm 87 inseam and took L because my arms are very Long (+8 Ape Index)
I was in the same situation back in October. I went to showroom in Southern California and tried both – twice- and ended up getting the L against all the recommendations I heard. The M seems a bit more aggressive position wise. Felt more like a race geometry. The L was much more Comfortable and stable. So, depends on what you want.
I am almost exactly the same height and inseam as you (186cm) and would buy the medium for sure. Would probably only need one additional 5mm spacer and then the fit would be pretty similar to my Soloist. Canyon’s sizing is one off of what most other manufacturers say. Their medium is most others’ large. The medium is what most would consider a 56.
