My G-Line went in for some warranty work on the hinges and I got the cabling looked into at the same time. Was having the same issues I’ve seen others report with the cables rubbing on chainring.
Shop worked with Brompton who eventually agrees to provide shorter cables and pay for workshop time for the fix. Photos 2 & 3 are the original cable routing. Photos 4 & 5 are with the new cables installed and zip tied.

So shorter cables fix the issue? Why the hell was this not rectified in testing before the bike came out.
