For folks who use 2wheelgear panniers, I have a question. I got this new pannier from them, and after a few rides, starting to see these scuff marks show up where the bag is coming in contact with the axle rear axle nut. I don't think I am hanging the bag wrong on the rack. Any way to prevent this? I guess I could get a bulkier rack that is wider so the nut is offset from the rack side. Thoughts?
Essentially want this bag to last awhile given how pricey these are!
Edit – thanks for all the great tips! I will put a tape on for now, get nut covers (and maybe get a wider rack).

I haven’t had any problems with my Ortlieb panniers but a friend had a similar issue to yours. His solution was some duct tape on the pannier.
Slap a piece of duct tape, or maybe some Tenacious Tape, over the worn area to reinforce would be my move. Or wrap the places on the bike where the bag is coming in contact.
A bit of wear is going to be inevitable. You can measure it and buy rubber or plastic caps to go around the nut or bolt end, or just smoosh some wax on the end of the bolt. You could also apply tape to the area of the pannier experiencing wear and protect it that way.
Hmm.. is your rack really narrow? Or really short?
I have a twowheel convertible backpack and don’t have this issue.
Do you have a pic of the bag on the rack, showing how it’s sitting?
EBike axel nut protector.
When that bicycle was originally shipped to the shop, it had plastic caps that went over the axle nuts. Maybe if you go down to your local bike shop, they can get you one of them.
Similar thing happens to my bags (diff brand). I slapped some double sided tape on strips of old inner tube and put it on all the bits of the bag and clips that come into contact with my rack. It’s thicker than just tape, so lasts a while. Not only does this protect the bags, it stops a lot of annoying rattling. Also a dirt cheap solution.
