I have seen some posts mentioning first and third hub gears being noisy and it’s normal
My C line 12 speed has been so noisy on the first hub gear that I don’t find it normal. It’s vibrating to my feet, makes a chain grinding noise when I apply load (i.e. going uphill) and the noise pitch increases as I speed up.
I took it to Brompton, they replicated the issue and approved to change the rear wheel under warranty.
Great, I got a brand new wheel but there is still the same noise. It feels as if I’m losing efficiency with whatever it is grinding on and it’s very annoying. How is this considered normal? If this is normal, I don’t understand why Brompton agreed to tank a ~£250 retail cost for this.
Do any of you feel the same?

I do think they are more noisy, I thought it was a chain problem orginally or the chain pusher rubbing against the chain, but i think it might just be the hub, mines not excessive mind, just louder than the sach one I have that just tics in the background.
Mine vibrates that’s not uncommon grinding noise however no that shouldn’t be happening.
