What an enthralling Giro we are having, really suspenseful stuff
Waiting for a selfie of Patrick and Benji at the Arsenal parade
Once again a crazy boring stage. Why did not more teams try to get into the break? Jayco, Lidl, Unibet, …
Patrick Vs Benji GT picks
Nil points again today, and another pretty dull finale. Dont forget competitors- if it's too busy at the abyss, you can always join the line to scream into the void instead.
Total scores after stage 11:
Benji: 102
Patrick: 115
Breakdown:
Benji Stage 11 picks
Route release: McNulty 0 pts
Week before: Soler 0 pts
Day before: Christen 0 pts
Stage 11 score: 0
Patrick Stage 11 picks
Route release: Cort 0 pts
Week before: Buitrago 0 pts
Day before: Ciccone 0 pts
Stage 11 score: 0
Looking ahead to stage 12 we have another sprint day. Oh fun. What will the organisers have cooked up for us in the final km this time? Oil spill? Flaming hoops to jump through? Banana peels and turtle shells to avoid? Just pleeeeeease let there be an ACTUAL sprint instead of a scene from Mario Kart.
Anyway, back in December both Patrick and Benji felt the climb was not hard enough to drop Milan; both selected him as their pick.
Lidl's team selection however has impacted on the competitors opinion, with both doing a U turn and stating in the week before preview they didn't think Milan had a chance here. Benji then went for Magnier, with Patrick selecting Lund. And they've both locked in Lund today.
It's therefore Lund Vs Magnier tomorrow. If Magnier beats Lund Benji can reclaim the lead. If it's the other way around Patrick will extend his points.
I watched Multi Screen and it was actually Decathlon in the front of the second last descent, doing exactly the pace Gall could do
Great stage!! And Narvaez gets the hat trick! Too bad Ballerini and Planckaert are out..
They wouldn't let Ciccone get up the road..
Everybody was trying to jump into breakaway caz they knew it was gonna be a breakaway stage..
Ben turner wins
I didn't get Ineos tactics either. Why were they pulling the Peleton? Narvaez might win tomorrow too with a late attack..
Yea. Harper could or Ulessi… But not Mas.. no sprint or acceleration, just a climber. Not a terrible descender, Gall is Terrible.. Mas should have let Narvaez ride in front the last 5kms..
He got Disqualified caz Van Gills crashed..
Narvaez was nowhere this season so far and he won 3 stages in this Giro. The magic of UAE
Hat Trick with Narvaez and 4 stage wins! Narvaez only 19 points down on Magnier.. Narvaez might win tomorrow with an attack at the end..
That's the only thing to do in Gilford.. lmao!
That's the only thing to do in Gilford.. lmao! Nove means new
Corbin Strong still here
I think Turner is better pick then Strong.. stage 4 score 72 and stage 12 is 55..
Stage 12 is better stage for Lund. Narvaez might take it with attack at end. Or Milan.. that's my pick! Hope he pulls it out in Italy!
My pick tomorrow is Milan.. and back up is Narvaez as well
He wants to say ciao ciao..
Benji saw Hamilton? And now Patrick's turn.. his friend is Hamilton.
with 5 riders🤩
So Vingegaard does fuck all and people give away stages to UAE. What else is new? 🥱
It’s freaking boring .when is the mountain coming ?🙏🙏🙏
Back to spoiling the result in the title again are we? 🙁
How’s benji complaining about the mic yesterday and hasn’t hand delivered one today? 😅
When will riders learn to stop pulling with UAE riders. They are always in form, 24/7 365
Are we going to ignore the bidon nature break controversy?
Was there not a neutral rollout? I have not watched the start of a race in a while so maybe this is happening more often than I know…
poor descenders do better on technical descents because they are raced at a slower speed. Its the wide sweeping descents which are ridden at fast speeds which are the death of poor descenders.
How could Mas close the door when he only got at best a wheel ahead of Narvaez.
Toilet paper 🧻 not kidding
Poor Uno-x loosing two riders today due to illness. They are also down to only 5 riders now :/
You need a third perspective ;-). I‘ll volunteer once I have established myself as an amateur pundit😂
Patrick at the end sounding like the siesta already started😂
4 Australians in the top 10 🎉 🦘🦘🦘
A big 15 comments from danielbuldini. Hot take… he has over 15 tomorrow
It's toilet paper
Lund has made danish broadcast aware that currently sickness is tough on him, so he is more on the survival wagon. His words. The interview is before stage 11 with Brian Holm and Bastian Emil.
Welp what an infuriating watch at times 😅 In my opinion, Ulissi singlehandedly prevented Scaroni from re-joining the group. Pace was dropping, and he would immediately go take turns at the front or throw in an attack instead of sitting on and marking moves. Scaroni was never making his way back on the descent after crashing on the previous one. Not saying he would've won the stage, but it gives Astana numbers which is always an advantage. And then of course 0 tactics going on to at least try and beat Narvaez by the others… 😅
