  1. Ooouuuuucch! The racks are modular so you should be able to replace the damaged parts. GL

  2. That’s frustrating. I would say new rack for peace of mind. Bikes are more expensive

  3. If you were rear ended, your car insurance would reimburse and go after the other driver’s insurance.

  4. talk to 1UP. This does look pretty bad. They design their modular system with replacement parts in mind. part of why I bought their system. I think this thread really needs to see what happened to the other guy!

    If you got hit and insurance is paying, get a replacement rack. You have damage to some of the more expensive components (all listed on the 1up website).

    Check your insurance policy. The last two insurance companies I had, had $1,000 worth of vehicle accessory coverage built in.

    If $200 really is what your policy has, it looks like you might be better off buying a new one since the a la carte way does look more expensive.
