Edit: I read all the tips, I really appreciate everyones feedback its already made a big difference. I finally have gotten enough pull to get good height and even loop out. The biggest help was pushing down and out on the fork then when shifting back getting heels low and pushing hard into the pedals. Now I just need to find a balance point and get consistent. Thank you again for the help!
Trying to learn to manual and I have watched plenty of videos but this seems to be the best I can do. I know I need to get lower when shifting back but I cant seem to. Any tips would be great.

Drop heels
My manuals look about the same as yours 😬
Dude can we please fuck off with the wheelies and manuals? God damn. 12 posts and counting this week…
And it’s like visible these are 12-14 year old kids (visibly living in the flatlands) who are just trying to impress girls at school who absolutely don’t care…
Have you tried with the suspension locked out? It’s easier on hardtail. Also have you tried when riding down a gentle slope? I find it easier when riding down hill.
honestly, just commit.
Half Crank PEDAL hard to increase rear wheel speed while yanking it back hard enough to fall/step off once or twice, Then you’ll know how much you really need to give it to get close to the balance point.
I learned on grass and just going for it.
Until you flip the bike over a couple of times (to find your balance). you need to send it MORE.Â
get in the grass and yank the shit out of it, go past the balance point on purpose a few times and get used to jumping off the back and landing on your feet. you need to get over the fear of looping out
Your helmet, dude!!! You are learning a trick, that is famous for bringing riders on their back.
On the topic:
Push down harder on the first part of L-move and stay low later over the rear wheel.
Pull the bar backwards, not up and backwards.
Push with your feet with heels down
Get lower before pulling up
Your chin should almost be touching the the handle bars. Bend your knees and crouch.
Pull up witg all your force gaining as much momentum as possible and lock your arms when they’re extended.
Begin bending your knees as the bike reaches balance to slow down the the upward motion so you don’t loop out.
Really you should be a master of wheelies so you can get a feel of the balance point before moving on to manuals.
no helmet no tips
Ass goes back, arms go forward. Throw more of your weight back through your butt and hips while extending your arms forward and over time find the right balance over your rear axle.
Cheers
Loop out, you have to loop out few times to get the feeling of pushing your center of gravity over the rear axle, also you need to go lower with your torso and butt.
knowing how to wheelie first helps alot
What do you want us to do, do it for you? You know how to get the front wheel up just do it better next time.
It looks like you hardly have any weight in your legs. Dump your ass back like you’re taking a dump over your rear wheel and drive your legs with heavy constant pressure into the pedals. Maintain this seated position with constant heavy leg pressure on the pedals to hold the manual.
If you’re doing it right, at the end of your practice sessions your feet should hurt and your back and core muscles should be sore
Also da ist nichts cht mehr zu helfen
Horrible advice all over here. Just watch some videos and wear a damn helmet.
I just started practicing mine today and one progression trick I liked was just trying to pop my wheel as high as possible for a bit. Not trying to manual, just getting a really high pop and getting comfortable with it. Thenn try manualing while rolling by keeping your weight super far back like youre pulling the bike into wheelie with your whole body. Kinda mix the big pop and pulling the bike back with your whole body like butt above the tire
First wear a helmet dawg 😂 gives you plus 5 on aero
The balance point is waaaaay behind where you think it is. Wear the damn helmet.
Your ass needs to almost be touching the rear wheel. Get LOWWWWWWWW then back and lean out over rear
Like most things, you have to risk it for the biscuit.
You are being way too safe. Make it loop out a few times.
Same physics as in a wheelie. Push the back wheel under the front one. It does not require any force at all when you get the tchnique
More forward/back and less up/down. Your butt needs to be lower and further back to get your center of gravity behind the rear wheel.
