Now just imagine if it was wet! I always like a good hike a bike since there’s a hope it leads to something fun eventually. But man is that shit scary when you can’t even walk without falling on your face.Β

At first I thought this looked easy until I saw it was r/gravelcycling. Brutal for sure

Can you tell us the trail name? Which town/city?

Reminds me of Fort Lewis Mountain just outside of Roanoke VA. I typically go down it, having gone up the other side from the ‘closed’ entrance up to the VORTAC on the summit.

Looks steep! What is the trail rating on Trailforks?

You could ride along the edges with the branches smacking you in the face π

That kind of terrain is fun as hell on a short travel bike or a hardtail. Not my cup of gravel tea but I’ve long since punted on technical gravel biking, mountain bikes are better at it and I have more fun on ’em, leave the gravel bike for farm paths for me π

Going up would be a fun under-biking challenge…wouldn’t want to go down it.

Thatβs not gravel bike. Thatβs a step before gravel. Just rock riding.

For Mtb this would be fun but canβt imagine riding over this on a gravel bike.

Mine took me down a super steep black diamond. It was scary but I didnβt die.
