The Factor Sarana. My rig for the 2026 unbound gravel 100

I originally had a Argon18 dark matter on order but the local shop got word from their argon rep who said they pushed the delivery date to July. The shop gave me information about the sarana a full month before factor planned to announce it so I had to keep my mouth sealed about its release for a while. Put in an order for the first shipment and she came in this morning.

Factor Sarana with
SRAM force XPLR AXS
Zipp 303 xplr sw
Schwalbe thunder burt tubeless in 2.1
10-46 cassette
46T aero chainring

Bags are temporary. The ones that are pictured with the bike on factors website are delayed from manufacturing so those will be in late, I got some bags to hold me over for the race

Beautiful bike. 46 is pretty big for ~9k ft of climbing. You must be strong 💪

Wow 46T / 46 =1:1 gearing at the lowest. Not concerned about those climbs?

Absolutely love the espresso-esque color. Let us know how the burts do for Unbound as I’m still undecided for Big Sugar.

  4. I love those new Saranas especially with a front suspension. Insanely good build for a fast gravel bike.

  5. Looks awesome! Just be careful when (not if, this year) you hit mud. I’d hate to see you rub a hole in that rig. Hopping off and pushing is always the better choice if it’s truly unrideable

You must be a pro rider. That is a very aggressive seat position

What kind of stress and degradation to the bike can you expect from such a race?

Silly me thought there was non, but then a colleague told me that after some of the toughest MTB races in my area, you’d expect to pay ~200 USD for getting your bike serviced afterwards

I know you said it’s temporary but what seat bag is that? Very clean.

Oh and the whole setup looks awesome. Enjoy the ride.

For bags, BTD has the Apidura Aero system bags. Same function but some aero gains. They’re pretty slick on my Lauf.
