After weeks of internet searches/models comparaison, I purchased the new Canyon Grizl 5 !
So excited to received it and test it ! It is my first gravel, I hope I made the right choice. I’m a beginner.
What would you recommend as shoes and pedals ?

Yep it’s a nice choice!
I made the same choice a couple of months ago when I also purchased my first gravel bike, Grizl CF6.

I have a pair of 510 and a pair of O’Neill flat shoes that I was already wearing for my mountain bike rides.

I already had them on my mtb so I bought them again. Nothing fancy but they have decent grip.
Congrats! I’ve had mine for a year and I’m very happy with it.
Initially I just rode it with sneakers and flat MTB pedals, totally fine, don’t feel pressured to get SPDs.
If you are set on getting SPDs, I really like the Canyon Scampr Trail shoes, though be warned they do not repell water at all, so watch out for puddles. But otherwise really comfortable.
Please post a picture when you get it. Would love to see the new finish.
