Of course even the simplest job can be messed up –> after unpacking the headset it fell down and the order of the thin spacers from the package was lost and now I do not know what to do with the two very thin spacers which are included.
The headset is the Salt Pro.
The dust cap, as you can see in the photos, internally is flat (without this little step). Hence, what am I supposed to do with the two thin spacers?
I saw on a video that if the dust cap is flat you do not need the extra ones, and if I recall correctly when I opened the package:
– one this spacer was above the dust cap
– one thin spacer was above the bottom bearing
I appreciate any help.

It’s cool that it comes with these, I could’ve used them several times but I was mix/matching bearings that didnt go with the caps
Just assemble it without the spacer and if the dust cap “bites” on the head tube just add it in.
You’ll know if you need to use them.
As [u/vaustin89](u/vaustin89) said, just install the headset and if it doesn’t turn properly, add the spacers.
Definitely save them if you don’t use them. You might need them if you get a new headset down the road, or you give your old headset to a friend who might need them. They’re surprisingly a slight pita to find.

Also hint, depending on your fork you might not need the black spacer in the middle on the 3rd pic
