I recently got a Canyon Grail CF 8 1by from a bike shop and the saddle height was just a little bit smaller for me, but when I went ahead to adjust it by untightening the bolt below the top tube it only goes as far as shown in the photo before developing resistance and the seatpost is still not budging. I'm not sure if the bolt is supposed to come out fully so I don't want to force it and break something. I tried to move the seatpost forward/backward and up/down to see if it's gonna break the binding with the carbon paste to no avail. Any hint to what I'm doing wrong is appreciated. Thanks!

The seatpost likely just seized inside the frame, you don’t need to pull the bolt completely out

I’d uninstall the seat post and the clamp itself. Grease the threads and reinstall.

I have seen MANY of these stupid bolts seize and I have only managed to get one out safely. I turn these seized bolt bikes away now.
