Can I ask what brand that is? I’ve had four WTB tires fail that way. The shop you bought it from or the manufacturer should replace it for you. Not safe, not acceptable QC.

  2. Did you over do your PSI? Also an old tire will let loose its casing when pumped back up too much. Riding like that will leave a wear spot & eventually wear thru.
As an example most road riders pump their tires max psi or 100-120psi. Not all tires are the same & if it’s max 80psi this is what will happen. You’ll hear or feel the tire casing give out.

  3. The casing is failing and isn’t holding the shape it was moulded to. I’ve seen this happen with very new tires and very old ones. Doesn’t look close to falling apart completely, but the bump bump bump will only worsen till you replace it.
