  1. The best aspero colorway, I would say 1500-2000 would be fair for this.

That’s the market I was noticing when I was shopping used before I got my woodsmoke colorway.

For reference, with Apex XPLR groupset, carbon everything minus wheels, I paid $3300 out the door for a brand new bike last year

Personally I’d try to get the seller down closer to $2k, but the asking price is within reason.

  3. You can get the same bike bran new on Jenson for $2800, or a slightly lower model groupset and different color for $2200. Both in stock and 61cm frame. I would say go ahead and get this used one if he’ll drop it to $2000 but otherwise…

  4. I’d jump on it for that price if it had carbon wheels and di2 and I was certain it was the right size for me. I think I’d rather just save up a little more and buy new though.

  5. Are those alloy wheels? If they are and with a mech grx groupset i would say $1k to 1.5k.

  6. For that price I would get a new one and never worry about what happened to the frame.

It’s unfortunately not worth more than prob like $1500-1800. It’s an old model without UDH, 2x GRX, in a hard to sell size, etc. In my area with higher prices, someone would have this listed at $2500 and just wait and never sell it, lol.

I get a lot of people think their bikes are worth “basically the same as MSRP because it’s never been ridden.” It’s not.
That’s not why the bike depreciated. Frame and component warranties don’t transfer to the second owner. You are taking a risk on a used bike that nothing will go wrong with the frame or you’ll be out $$$.

I like-new bikes I’d say 60% of MSRP is what I’d be looking for and as someone mentioned you can get it for $2800 on Jenson so I would be looking around $1700…. Not more than $2000 for sure.

  9. I have a 2022 Aspero I bought off Marketplace new, never ridden with carbon bars for $3200 CDN in late 2022. No ragrets! It’s an incredible bike. I just bought carbon wheels and new tires for it and am using it in a couple road fondos this year. Super versatile. Lots of folks saying it’s too much money, I’d say go for it if it’s in fact new.

  10. Gorgeous colorway. Problem with the Aspero is tire clearance, which is poor by modern standards. No more than $2k imo

Sellers probably hate this but I’d never pay near full price for used carbon. Most people don’t have torque wrenches, don’t use carbon paste, and there could be damage to the frame that you’re unlikely to find during a quick meet up to buy a used bike.

  12. That rear derailleur is installed very very wrong and might‘ve damaged the chainstay. I‘d stay away from that bike for that reason alone.

  13. I got this model last summer with carbon wheels and di2 for 2200$. Granted it had some paint chips it was still a 6000$ bike new. That was last year it’s even more dated now.

At that time I was looking on marketplace I saw a bunch of this bike and spec for 1800$. Now I wouldn’t pay more than 1500$. I’d agree with other go on jenson and get brand new for a little more or use a screen shot of the jenson price to negotiate a lower price for this one.

Objectively, no. Worth more in the high teens I’d say. But it’s one of the best paint jobs a production bike has ever had. What’s the value of that? Only you can say.

  15. Pricing aside, this is the previous generation Aspero which only clears a 42c tire. Quite narrow by today’s standards.

That’s a “I have to many bikes, my SO is making me sell it, but I’m gonna list it so high it never sells” price.

Go new. Don’t waste the time

  17. Naw brother I’d try to low ball.. I picked up a topstone lefty for 800 on marketplace

  18. At this point, the lack of UDH is gonna call for big price reductions. $2500 is about $1250 away from what I’d call a “good deal”.
