The day began with quite a bit of drama. As we set off, heavy rain clouds were looming over the high peaks, and it looked like our ride might end in a downpour. However, luck was on our side! As we turned into the heart of the Karwendel Nature Park, we managed to leave the storm behind and found patches of blue sky waiting for us.

This route offered pure mountain beauty at every turn. We followed a perfect, smooth asphalt road with almost no cars, making it a dream for any cyclist. The emerald waters of the Rissbach river ran right alongside us as we headed toward the towering, snow-capped peaks of the Eng Valley and ancient 600-year-old maples of Großer Ahornboden.
