Well… At nearly 34, I am finding myself back on something with pedals! At the end of last year, my daughter made a big jump and started riding her bicycle without training wheels. Shortly after that I had found a nice Fit Bike Co (thinking I would enjoy re-living my late adolescent and early teens) but at 6 feet tall, a 20.5 inch bike was simply not cutting it so I sold the thing and started riding the longboard for our evening cruise lol.
Jump forward to two weeks ago I upgraded my daughters bike from the Walmart starter bike to a second hand REI Co-Op 16 inch bike. She started asking for me to ride my bike not fully realizing I had sold the thing (she is now 4 years old) and instantly I felt a heavy guilt. Last week I jumped on marketplace and scored a “Core” brand fixie for $80 and have been doing about 2 miles every evening with my daughter!
Figured you all might enjoy some warm fuzzies after a long Monday!
Cheers!!!
Bonus: Is anyone familiar with a bike “Core” with a logo of a C and dot on the front? I can’t tell if its a State Bicycle Co Core-Line maybe? Thank you all!

Congratulations bud. My son and I have been biking about 4 years now since he was 9. Stated as trips to the gas station or the park about a mile each way. We do about 3500 miles a year now. I cherish every mile. A couple steel frame single speeds was the best investment I ever made.

Sick dude, good job
That’s so sweet! Hope you guys have a ton of fun together.
Looks like a bike from Core Bicycle Co., which has gone out of business. Their website is down, but their Instagram (@corebicycles) and Facebook accounts are still up. Last posts in 2014.
I am happy for you. Have fun. On the side note, your arm looks older than 34. I am almost 50 and my arm looks a lot younger than yours.
So lucky!!
Can’t wait until I can start riding with my daughter. Will be getting a shotgun seat soon.
riding with your daughter sounds like such a sweet way to bond and stay active!
Enjoy the newfound love for bikes bro, it’s a hobby that really rewards your soul
