What’s your best value-for-money cycling clothing & shoes brands?

I’m looking to upgrade my cycling wardrobe and wanted to ask the community: Which cycling clothing brands offer the best value for money? I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest stuff, but gear that performs well and lasts without taking too much from savings.

Also curious – any other specific brand for cycling shoes; beside sidi?

I mainly ride road (including some longer climbs and fast descents), so breathability and fit matter, but I also want durability and decent pricing. Any recommendations for summer or cooler weather are appreciated!
