It’s an emergency use pump, you need to compress it length ways, the red collar holds it firm when you put in press it down, to stop it accidentally compressing

That’s your pump, well it’s meant to be it is however atrocious and you’ll never get up to the required pressure with it. My advice unless your carrying tyre patches and things just remove it, there have been occasions where they’ve come loose and jammed in the wheel.

I second getting rid of it and getting either a different small hand pump that’s easier to use or a small CO2 pump and just carry them in a bag.

  4. Its a useless pump lol that adds weight to the bike. I took mine off. I think just pull the handle bit down and it’ll reduce its length enough to pull out of the support pin

  5. The only time I ever used mine it failed, o-ring seal came out in the pump body and stretched. Never had that with any pump before. Garbage.
