She’s a bueat. I have a cross check and this weekend I put whole new group set on, sword black 2×9 and new wide af drop bars, back to the gravel road and trails whence she came.

I just want to publicly apologize to everyone here for the saddle angle, I had just swapped it out to the b17 carved from the standard b17 and was in a rush to go take pictures of it to show my favorite reddit group and didn’t even notice that I changed the angle in the swap

The Cross Check is nice enough, for sure, but after I had mine for a while I met up with the guy who sold it to me (at a swap meet) and now he had his gorgeous blue All-City Space Horse frameset for sale. I really waffled over that one and firmly decided, no, I didn’t need it. After mulling it over I went back to where he had his spot and it was…gone. Big regrets since; it was so, so, pretty. This guy could build a nice bike and he used the best parts, like the Chris King headset on my CC he left on.
I shoulda got your S-H, Brad! That woulda been a keeper, for sure!

My cross-check has seen se many different iterations since I got it in 2012.
Currently my dad rides it as an actual cross bike with drops, but it’s had everything from mustache bars to risers to drops. It’s had bar end shifters, down tube shifters, road brifters and mtb brifters. It’s had both vees and cantis
