My ride at the Fred Whitton Challenge to the Fastest time on the day! 5hrs 23mins and having the pleasure of riding with some of the UKs best hill climbers including Andrew Feather Himself and even having him be my Domestique for last bit π€―.
I came with the goal to achieve Sub 5hrs 30 and post the fastest time on the day and the stars aligned for me. Along with months of hardwork, you create your own Luck!
Mental, Shoutout to Racelinecoaching for the journey weve been on so far and getting me in this shape! Thanks to Dave for letting me tag along, James,Oli for some of their pulls in the valley and then to feather for the last 30km! What an experience hardknott will live long in the memory! Should also mention some great rides by some Juniors including Rocco and his mate from 360 cycling!
Massive Chapeau to every single rider that took on this challenge and thank you so much to the organisers for a flawless event and hosting this beautifully brutal route and everything that comes with it.
If im available next year – We go for Sub 5. You heard it here first.

Very impressive Josh – a truly impressive achievement to place 1st in the Fred, THE GOAT SPORTIVE ! And all on a perfect day ! Nice edit and narrative, Sir ! Best of luck in your race today π
Great effort! π
A PROPER good effort. Really enjoyed your commentary and the overlays over Hardknott and Wrynose Pass. I'm probably most impressed with how fast you both descended them – insane!
54-36π€―π
Amazing effort. Still putting the power down after those climbs π₯΅
Amazing Josh. Keep chasing those dreams. Great vid π
Awesomeness π
in my dreams. go for it !!!
Are you also a drummer..? (The stool you're sitting on at the beginning looks like a drum stool π) Incredible ride btw!! π
This is inspirational, the pace you guys are setting is wild, thanks for breaking it down and congratulations on the fastest time! Can't wait to see more content this yearπ
Nice one man π β¦.. loved this video man
Well done!! Really cool having a POV to see how fast you top guys climb up those steep gradients. Scenery goes quite a lot slower for us more average riders! lol Surprising number of rim brake bikes on the start line too which you don't see so much these days.
That strava photo at the end is so tuff
Well done, Josh, a great achievement. I had a little cry when you said 54/36 up front with a 11/34 cassette π I can only dream π’
