I used my cast iron for the first time today. I made some bacon, but i cooked it too high, and it burned the bottom of the pan real bad! I did the salt thing, and the reseaoning. Unfortunately, it didnt work. What a bad first time experience!😢😢 Any suggestions,
Every one of these shorts leaves something out.The usual suspects left out are, Oil used Temp of oven Time of oven Without fail instructions are left unfinished
Not sure what you meant by "the more you repeat this process, the more non-stick it becomes". How often are you suppose to repeat this seasoning process?
Terrible advice all around. Dude has no idea what he’s talking about. I do a slight oil coating after every third or fourth time I use my cast irons. They do not get sticky.

Ditch those toxic seed oils, use animal fat
Just use a stainless steel plan. Cast iron isn't worth the headache. It's only good for very specific use cases.
A bad pan is gonna stick no matter how much fat u put in it. Food generally doesn't float on oil
You didn’t say how long?
Step: 1 – Wash Pan
Step 2: – Cook in Pan
Done
I want this but i got no oven 😢
Sand the surface till it's smooth
LoL been cooking in cast iron for longer than you have been alive and have no problems😅
I seasoned mine with beef dripping.

Holy crap that is a lot of butter. A half stick just for one egg?
Canola, vegetable or grapeseed…
I'm out.
Nice
Canola 👎
For how many minutes, days, or weeks?
Its been 6 hours at 500 degrees and its still smoking…
.40min 120 million instead of 60 if you include Turkey.
I seasoned mine with beef tallow

Never rub crisco on your pecker !!! Frisco is shortening.!!! 😮
With that much butter and oil in there, you could cook that on an 80 grit sandpaper Skillet and it would move around easily 😂
Thank you! You answered so many questions in a short video.
I cook mine in the microwave

I sand mine down big time before seasoning! I like my cast iron SMOOTH!!!!

Cast irons are a head ache ! Season then clean 🧼 season then clean then clean too get the crud off ! Non stick so much easier
How much time in the oven??
I mean 3 TS of butter I don't think anything is really sticking
In the oven for how long
How often do you have to season a cast iron grill pan?
Only Crisco. Just start cooking.
I season mine outside in the traeger or ceramic bbq.
Keeps the smoke outside, and it works perfect.
Thank you
Seed oils… a good reason not to eat at restaurants
Lodge and most cast iron are pre seasoned. Also the act of cooking will season a pan as well.
For how many minutes
Rapeseed oil…….hard no dude
I just 'use the pan' and it became seasoned.
