I’ve purchased a tricycle online. I couldn’t find the color that I liked, so I just picked the one with the best price and style.
This is my first time stripping the paint off a bike. I used Citristrip Paint & Varnish Stripping Gel. Also, I want to change the color of the wheels’ spokes. Is it a bad idea to strip the paint from &/or spray paint the spokes?
I already have multiple cans of spray paint, including the clear gloss paint (for the final coat).

holy shit, you found paint stripper that actually works?
Looks like a fun project, I would recommend not painting the wheels, it never turns out right.
You’re already pretty far into it, but I got a frame and fork stripped and powder-coated by a local shop for $100.
I known people who’ve done the spraycan approach, and they generally complain that it doesn’t look good for very long.
So now that the paint is off, it might be worth calling a local shop just to see what they would charge?
This post hits hard. I’ve been trying to strip a frame for two days and it’s been absolutely impossible. I stripped a bike with citristrip a few years back and it was great. This time it is barely moving the dial. I think the clear coat must be some sort of NASA certified coating.
Surprised that stuff actually got the paint off. Aircraft Ultra is my goto.

Last paint job I did.
Can this be done on carbon frames?
It looks like a lot of fun indeed. Always thought that it would be such a pain to strip all that paint, this will save the day.
