Hey good people , looking for your experience.
new 36 performance 2023 model 150 mm travel .
When I lift the wheel off the ground the fork extends about 10mm as if the weight of the wheel is pulling it down.
I measured 160 mm sanction when fully extended and 150 when placed on the ground , no weight on the bike.
Not sure if it's normal or not but feels a bit off on the trail , had no other issues with it while riding.
Your advice is welcome

Uhh so someone else should validate my suspicion here, but what I believe is happening is your measurements are off because the fork ‘bottoms’ out before the stanchions are fully inside the lowers. Generally by about 10mm like you’re seeing. Therefore the fork lifted off the ground is actually showing the full 150mm of travel rather than 160.
Have you set your air pressure / sag yet? It looks like your fork is at a very low pressure which is allowing the weight of the front end alone to bring it to about 7% sag. Low air pressure would also contribute to poor ride feel.
Could be a very mild case of fork suckdown, basically the negative and positive air chamber can’t equalize. Fox forks at least before had the issue when too much grease was used when assembling the fork which blocked the small port that equalizes the chambers.
Thanks for replying, all set up 70 psi for 25% sag give or take.
Fork felt good on the ground but when I lift it in the air feels like it extends a bit, hard to explain exactly
Travel measures 160 mm after extending it off the bike . Also tried deflating and Inflating to 120 psi while equalizing every 10-20 psi. Starting to suspect an issue with the air spring.
