It’s a gorgeous bike, but I’d pay about 1/3 of that. 😂

It’s not even a rockhopper lol. Found this same bike at my goodwill for $30 recently and built it up with about $100 max worth of parts. Description is probably “I KNOW WHAT I HAVE NO LOW BALLS”

Wow I have a much nicer set up bontrager than that in pristine brand new condition with lots of nice accessories and I’ll be happy to get 4-500 for it. Yes, I put like a grand into the bike. You should always assume you’ll get 0-35% of the value of those parts out of selling it. I built it expecting to never sell it. Until a stupid dream bike fell into my lap.

All these clowns are on this subreddit. This is the only community of people that think these bikes have any value. It’s all your fault that I can’t find a retro bike frame for a reasonable price so I too can restomod it and upsell it on FB.

The seller is being a goof, but anyone else find the laughing reaction kind of douchey and unnecessary?
Just scroll on.

It doesn’t have one nice part on it. It has a workhorse bunch of parts, which is fine. My experience with bikes much nicer that this is that I have to part them out to get anywhere close to what they’re worth. This bike would part out at $300 or so. I’ve cleaned up my parts bin many times and off brand stuff like bars and seatpost have to be given away.
