Bought two Brompton C Line Electrics in February for me and my wife. I use mine daily for groceries, school runs, and errands. I also commute twice a week: 8 km + train + 2 km each way.

The bike was great and honestly I used it without the battery 80% of the time, but the weight started to bother me more and more especially with stations, stairs, folding, and carrying around.

Recently I found a second-hand Brompton P Line, still in the box and never used, and decided to go for it. I sold the black one today.

What a difference. I didn’t realize how much the extra weight affected my daily routine until I switched. The whole commute feels smoother, easier, and way less tiring now.

I also did a few upgrades: added a JK carbon handlebar because the bike came with the high handlebar setup (didn’t really have a choice since it was such a good second-hand opportunity), installed Tubolito inner tubes, and swapped the saddle to a Selle Italia SLR Boost Superflow.

Feeling really happy with the change.

    Congrats!

Curious for more details Was the weight and issue mostly at trains, having to carry up/down stairs etc? Obvi when riding electric assist NP.

    Can you give some examples?
