So i want to buy a mtb full suspension to get better at the sport im not a complete beginner but there is so much more i want to learn and i wanna ask if this bike is ok. It has scratches that im kinda afraid of so yeah thats the reason im here i wanna hear some advices. The price is 1500€

Fork: Fox 38 Performance
Shock: Fox DPX2

Front rotor: CATALYST Pro 6-Bolt Disc Rotor 203mm
Rear rotor: CATALYST Pro 6-Bolt Disc Rotor 180mm

Cranks and chainring (used for only 3–4 rides): Descendant 6K DUB Eagle 12-speed Crank DM 32T 175mm

Brake calipers: Shimano SLX
Brake levers: Shimano SLX

Rear derailleur: SRAM GX Eagle

Front tire: Maxxis Assegai 27.5
Rear tire: Maxxis Minion DHR II

Cassette: SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed

The tires, complete braking system, cranks, chainring, cassette, and derailleur are all brand new. I have the receipts.

The only downside is that the dropper post is not working, but if desired, I can replace it with a normal seatpost.

The bike only has cosmetic signs of use.

The bike is good. It’s a bike that is capable of speeds and technical terrain that far exceed your skill level.

Is it a good value? I do not know.

  2. Way too much money for that bike. And why would you get that bike when you wouldn’t use it with a dropper? That’s kind of pointless in my opinion. Also, it’s quite a tall frame. Make sure the size fits you.

  3. It’s a downhill/enduro bike, so it’s a heavy one. I don’t know what you’re expecting, but it’s made for big descents or jumps, bike parks.

  4. Most droppers can be rebuilt with minimal effort. Just figure the model and YouTube it to see if you can do it. Depending on what kind of riding you’re doing, will determine if this is the bike for you. This bike is intended for enduro/dh. Price is great.

  5. Like others said, it’s probably a decent bike, but that’s a lot of money for a used bike that needs anything at all.

My main concern would be – is it the right type of bike for your riding and is it the right size.

Servicing suspension and adding a new dropper post could easily cost 500 if you aren’t doing it yourself.

The Meta is a superb bike. I rode a 2017 model for 5 years and it ate everything I threw it at. It’s a heavy bike but it’s perfectly capable of climbing and it will descend like an absolute monster. It’s not the most modern bike now but it’s not so old that the geometry will hold you back in any way.

If everything is serviced then I’d say it’s a reasonable price. Of you can knock it down a bit, even better and then spend that money on a dropper. No point in having a bike this capable and not having a dropper. You want a bike you can improve on, this is a very good option. But running a static seat post will hold you back.
