  1. I didn’t think so. It’s nice to have a whole kit in one go, but for used you can get a really nice bike for that price.

Brand is solid but I can’t see what the hardware is- It’s a touring bike with a few good trips on – maybe it needs new gears – worn racks scratches etc  – sounds like a stretch for the price .

  3. Tough to say w/o knowing all the mods that have been made. If it were an unmodified bike I’d say this seller is delusional.

The racks, bags, fenders and apparently dynamo lighting all cost something and it adds up…

I’m no serious cyclist I’m just a guy who rides a bike to work but I’d say this is more of a “touring” bike than a bikepacking bike anyway.

  4. It’s an old bike with an outdated geo and really only suitable for riding on the road.

Also you can buy a new one for 2600 CAD so the price is insane.

How much of that price is the Ortliebs and the racks? Also like how the price isn’t negotiable and there’s a price drop.

Unless it’s filled with blow in the tubing I can’t imagine how it’s so pricey

  7. Consider other bikes. Some people still don’t get about what depreciation is all about.

The surly resale market is nutty. Buy new unless it has modifications or a color scheme you simply cannot live without
