The rollercoaster-like south side of the Col du Soulor is my favourite descent in the Pyrenees. It was a beautiful early-autumn day, the roads were quiet and I was on my all-time favourite handling bike, the Factor O2 VAM, with Vittoria Corsa Pro tyres – nothing has ever given me more confidence than this combo. Might as well send it.
