For context I havent been in the market for a few years now ever since my old bike was stolen. Im looking to get back into mtb and am currently on this giant trance X. Is this priced fairly and would this be a good bike? My budget is around $3000 USD if there are other better bikes yall can recommend. Thanks!

It’s a 2022 model. After 4 years, 2500 for this “trim” is a bit much imo. Saw the same model with aimilar-tier SRAM spec sold for 1200 GBP on eBay UK.
Yea that’s a bit much for that bike, there are great deals on new bikes at the 3k mark. I would keep looking.
Looks like a sram drivetrain also. Not anything wrong with that but if you’re selling your bike you should be accurate about what it has.
Jenson has some nice Kona FS for $2k right now. Worth considering unless youre dead set on that bike.

Weren’t these on sale for like 1k earlier this year direct from Giant?
I just bought the 2023 giant trance X 29 advanced pro SE for $3200 brand new….. For an extra $800 you could get a brand new all carbon frame, carbon wheels, carbon handlebar, electronic drive train, and top tier fork and rear suspensions with flight attendant.
You can also buy the Liv Intrigue 29 2 brand new from giant for $1100. It’s just the female version of the trance, but it shreds all the same.
Do with that what you will.
Haro Greer or Daley at Erik’s bikes may have great deals depending on your size. Check pink bike and sort by percentage off. There’s quite a few solid deals. Plus there’s canyon and polygon siskiu. Lots of $2k-3k options.
I wonder what that seller paid for that bike, because at one point they were sold for as low as $1,400.

Quite a few options out there for $3000. If you can find some older stock you might be able to find a bike shop with a Scott Ransom from last year for just over a couple thousand dollars and that’s gonna be a far more capable bike. I picked up one for my son for 2200 towards the end of last year.
